If I need to leave Orlando by 2 PM on Saturday after a week-long trip, Is it worth it to buy tickets to Magic Kingdom for just 4-5 hours on a Saturday - assuming I get 3 great fast passes and get there by rope drop?

    Hi there, Andrew!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so glad you stopped by with your question about an upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.  I completely understand your wish to go to the Magic Kingdom Park as I find myself wanting to be at Walt Disney World Resort ANY time I am in Orlando – well, anywhere in Florida for that matter!  I am always trying to figure out a way to get there – even for a short while…so I get it!

In my opinion, anytime at a Walt Disney World Resort theme park is worth it!  If I had a few hours to spend and I was in the area, I would certainly make my way to one of the theme parks for the morning!  I would definitely take a glance at the park hours and ensure that the theme park you wanted to visit was operating as normal hours (or utilize the Extra Magic Hours if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort property) and plan to be there at rope drop to get the most of your time there!  Additionally, I would book any FastPass+ selections (if you choose to) as far out as you can if hitting certain attractions is important to you.  If you are traveling solo, you can also inquire about single rider lines by checking with a Cast Member at the entrance to the attraction or follow the marked signs (if posted). Access to Single Rider Lines may not always be available and are subject to closures without notice.

So, YES – totally worth it (in my opinion) to visit…but just be sure you are closely watching the time as you don’t want to get swept up and miss your departure time!  Oh, and go ahead and plan to utilize an Uber or Lyft car service to get you directly to the airport!

Have a super fun and MAGICAL day!!
