I need help figuring out how to do this on a budget. I can't afford $7000 for airfare and hotel and tickets for three people

    Hi Brandi!

It is hard to help with an exact budget as you did not offer some important information but I will help you with great possibilities in planning a Walt Disney World vacation that can stay within your price range.

When finding flights look at traveling on off days and definitely at off times. I know coming from Chicago the flights early in the morning or late at night will be the least expensive. Search and compare different airlines and look at booking a flight that might stop along the way as those will be less expensive versus direct.

Booking a Disney resort offers you several categories. Your best bet is to search for a Value Resort. These are still great options but they are less expensive as they are a little further from the parks and a little smaller rooms with fewer amenities. My favorite in this category is the Pop Century. Prices will vary according to the time of year so look at off-peak dates.

When purchasing your Disney Park Tickets you will see that the longer you stay the more you save so you have to find what is best for your budget. A good way to save money is to not add on the Park Hopper option. Plan your trip so that you are heading to only one park each day instead of hopping around to several every day.

Don't forget to budget for food. You can purchase a dining plan through Disney or buy as you go when you are there. Many guests keep simple breakfast items in their rooms and save on that meal.  There are many great options in the parks and resorts for simple meals as well and you can save when you don't head to the bigger Signature locations.

A budget Disney vacation is definitely possible so work to find yours.
