I need help on disney world/disney cruise surprise? I'm thinking on giving my son the magic band when we get off the plane. When we get to the hotel place a contest form to win a tour on the disney dream on his bday the we leave wdw a letter saying he won.

    Welcome Aboard, Aieisia!
Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel! I'm so happy to hear you're planning a Land and Sea adventure with your son. He's in for the the time of his life! There's absolutely no vacation I love more than one where we can visit the parks AND sail on a Disney Cruise ship. It's the best of both worlds!

Half the fun of planning a Disney vacation is figuring out how to tell the kids. It sounds like you've come up with some really creative ideas already - way to go! I also encourage you to take advantage of the free Character Calls offered on the official Disney Cruise Line website. Simply visit the "My Reservation" section on the DCL site, and you can arrange a phone call from a Disney Character to surprise your son and heighten the excitement! You can reserve up to two calls per reservation, and there's no charge for the calls. You can schedule a time and date for the call, whenever you'd like him to get his special message from his Disney friends. I usually set an alarm on my phone to remind me when the call will be coming, so I can make sure my kids are nearby when the phone rings!

No matter how you choose to tell him the awesome news, the end result will be one happy kid! Please let us know if you have questions as you plan - we're here to help.

    Happy planning! - Diane W.
