What do you need to have on file at the resort to charge to your room (via a Magic Band)? Can you use a Disney gift card, a debit card, a credit card, cash?

    Hi Emma,

I love having a MagicBand when I am touring the Walt Disney World Resort! I love the convenience of having my tickets, FastPass+, room key and charging on my wrist. It makes it so easy!

A credit card is the preferred method to hold on file to charge back to your room. If you do not want to put acharge to that card, you simply pay down the balance prior to check out or before the limit is reached. Each resort has a different limit before the card is charged. Currently, a Value Resort has a $500 limit, a Moderate is $1000 and a Deluxe has a $1500 limit. As long as you keep below those amounts, your card will not be charged.

I have a Disney Visa Reward Card which I earn reward dollars. When I am nearing the limit, pay it down with my reward dollars. I have done it with a gift card as well.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
