Hi- if I need a disability card, can I get that before rope drop? Or do I have to wait for the park to open and then wait in line there?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mary!

Disney is committed to making Walt Disney World Resort an environment that is welcoming and accessible to everyone, which is why there are a variety of services offered for guests with disabilities. Disability Access Service is an accessibility tool meant for guests whose disability prevents them from waiting in a traditional queue, so let's chat about how you can get it set up for yourself and when the best time is to do that if you're planning an early morning in the theme parks.

I talked it over with some of my fellow panelists, and we agree that if you're looking to activate your Disability Access Service and rope drop a theme park in the same morning, meaning you arrive before the park opens for the day so you can be one of the first guests to get onto the attractions, the best place to do that is Magic Kingdom Park. Because Main Street U.S.A. opens a little bit before the rest of the theme park, you should be able to go straight to Guest Relations at City Hall before everything else opens to talk to a Cast Member about your needs and set up Disability Access Service. Your entire party will need to come with you and be ready to scan their MagicBands to be connected under your account. That way, everyone can experience the attractions together when you're using Disability Access Service. If you have any other questions or would like to discuss your specific accessibility needs, please contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com.

    Have a magical day, Mary!
