We need to decide on a sit down restaurant to make our ADR for Epcot. Not sure if our kids (2 boys 9 &11) will eat anything ethnic so we should probably stick to american food. Any suggestions on where to dine? Thanks!

If you want to stick to purely American table service restaurants at Epcot, you have two main choices: the Garden Grill and the Coral Reef. The Garden Grill is a character dining experience in a restaurant that actually moves, revolving around the Living with Land ride in the Land pavilion. The food is served family style, with a sampler platter of beef, chicken, and fish being brought to each table. The Coral Reef specializes in seafood. You order your entrees individually off a regular menu. One wall of the restaurant is a side of the giant aquarium in the Living Seas pavilion. While you eat, you can watch the fish swim by and sometimes you will see divers in the tank too.

I'm not so sure that I would write off the World Showcase as part of your dining plan. Even if your boys are not adventurous eaters, there is plenty to enjoy in the restaurants of the different countries. For example, Le Cellier in the Canada pavilion is a steakhouse: a real meat and potatoes kind of place. And the restaurant in the Italian pavilion features many pasta dishes that are probably familiar to your children.

Epcot is my favorite theme park for dining. I'm sure you'll find something that works for your family.
