is it necessary to spend a few hours "staking" out a prime location to see the Fireworks display? We will be there in mid-December and don't know if we should spend the money on the Terrace Dessert buffet tto reserve a spot -our group has 5 kids

    Hi Teresa!

The Dessert Party is great and offers a great to see the fireworks, eat some great desserts, and get a little break from the crowds.

However, I don't think it's necessary if you're just worried about finding a spot to see the fireworks.  Except for the busiest times of the year, it's relatively easy to find a good last minute spot for the fireworks.  So unlike the parades, I don't think you have to stake out a spot too early.  My favorite spot to watch the fireworks is on Main Street, USA, about 20 yards from Casey's Corner towards Cinderella Castle.  I've never had a problem getting on to Main Street  (even with a group of 10 guests) at that location about 10 to 15 minutes before Wishes start.

That said, however, I do think the Dessert Party is the way to go if you have any worries at all.  I've always enjoyed it and can't recommend it enough!

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
