Hi my name is Michelle and I will be traveling to WDW for New Years 2019. I will be traveling with my 2 month old, fiancé and mother. I would like to know how can I find out about any special events for dinner on NYE? Thank you

    Hi Michelle,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!  Visiting Walt Disney World Resort over New Year’s Eve is definitely a dream of mine. Although it can be an extremely crowded time of the year in the Theme Parks, I’m sure that you’ll be able to ring in a magical 2019 with your fiancé, mother and your itty bitty newborn.

There are often special fireworks shows and other entertainment offerings that are specifically that are available on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Last year, the Disney Parks Blog highlighted all of the fun fireworks displays that were being offered at Walt Disney World Resort. As you can see, there certainly were a lot of choices! Although we still don’t know what events will be returning for New Year’s Eve 2019, that list should give you an idea of what kinds of shows are typically offered.

In addition, the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are filled with special holiday experiences, which typically continue until at least January 2nd. Again, while we don’t know what will be offered this year, last year’s events should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

Because you’ll have a newborn with you, I highly recommend staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort if you can. You’ll be able to see Magic Kingdom Park’s fireworks display from your Resort (and possibly even your room if you get a Theme Park View), which would be a great way to ensure that everyone can have a comfortable view of the show!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Lynne
