We have a MYW pkg w/ dining. Our 3 kids (15,11,11) don't aways want to eat. Can we pay for their meals and still use the dining plan for us at some restaurants. Don't want to use 2 table service if they dont want to eat a full meal.

    Hi Beverly,

A summer vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. Only a few months away!

My family loves the Disney Dining Plans. It allows us to simply forget about budgeting for meals and enjoy some nice eats. Where to have dinner is one of the first things we always plan for. Did you know you can make advance dining reservations up to 180 days? Best way is to visit the Walt Disney World restaurants and reservations page, or call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463

Since your kids are aged 10 and up, you can use your dining entitlements any way you want. Depending on the plan you choose, you will get a set of meal credits for each member of your party, for every night of your stay. All these credits are available to use from the moment you check into your hotel, until midnight of the day of your departure. Although “juniors” cannot order from the kid’s menus, the chefs will be more than glad to accommodate a bigger portion meal from the child’s menu. But you can still use less entitlements, and pay out of pocket for other options. Make sure you inform your server when ordering.

So, what’s your favorite must-do restaurant? My family’s is Teppan Edo. We cannot wait for our next visit, and I imagine you can’t wait for yours either.
