    Wendy,

The answer is yes, yes, and yes....

It sounds like you've done your homework and visited the www.touringplans.com site and read their companion book, The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World!

Like you, our family often buys the base one-park-per-day tickets and, because of that, plan a little more than others who have purchased the option to hop from one park to the next, allow them to take in Early Magic Hours and then move to another less-crowded park.

I do consult the Crowd Calendar at www.touringplans.com because I know they've considered holidays, school schedules, Magic Hours and other variables I'd never think of before scientifically proclaiming which park is best on a given day.  But you do have to pay for the use of their Crowd Calendar if you are planning far out and sometimes dining reservations may not work out with their optimum suggestion.

Experience has taught me that if I simply do three things 1) avoid the park with Early Magic Hours 2) avoid the smaller parks (Magic Kingdom and Disney Studios) on the weekends and 3) stay away from MK and DHS on days when a there's a night-time parade or Fantasmic, I'm good.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
