MVMCP-we're not interesting in riding rides...how should we plan our evening so we don't miss any of the xmass party events? We'll probably never be back to this (too much $$$) and don't want to miss anything! Dance parties? Shows? Parades? Help! thx!

    Hi, Dawn!

You are going to love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. That silly mouse sure knows how to throw a party!  Although the party does not officially start until 7:00 p.m. you are welcome to enter the park anytime after 4:00 p.m.  The first gift of Christmas:  Extra time in the Magic Kingdom!

When you enter, you will receive a Times Guide for the evening.  The FIRST thing I always check for are the hot cocoa and cookie locations.  The lovely Cast Members will be passing out these tasty goodies for free to all party guests.

Make a note of the Dance Party times and location(s).  My kids love dancing the night away with their Disney Pals. I hate to brag and while my hubby would never admit to it, my darling husband was the winner of the Dad's Dance-Off a few years ago!  (I told him no worries - What happens in WDW stays in WDW, right?!)

You will definitely want to note the time of the Christmas Parade.  This is usually presented twice per night with the second parade being less crowded.  The fireworks for MVMCP are truly my very favorite of the year.  While I do not usually like to be in the thick of the crowds for fireworks, for these, it is worth it.  Find a great view of the Castle (in front of the Plaza Restaurant is one of my favorite locations) at least 45 minutes prior to the fireworks.  Stake out your spot and don't move!  Enjoy the Castle Light Show and the amazing fireworks that follow.

Follow the Times Guide for the party and you will find that you can fit in plenty of holiday merriment.  Have a wonderful time and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
