Can Multiple Experience FastPasses be used if we are only entering the parks through a special ticketed event and not using a regular park day pass? The event begins at 10 pm, but we can enter park at 7 pm. Hoping to use Fastpasses before 10pm. Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christopher!

If you’re entering a Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park for a Special Event such as Disney After Hours, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you still must have a valid Theme Park ticket to book FastPass+ experiences in the Park prior to its official closing time. Once the Special Event officially begins, though, you are correct that FastPass+ experiences are no longer available.

My friends and I had Park Hopper tickets and used this strategy before attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party last year, and it was awesome! We were able to ride Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Haunted Mansion before the Party began, and then because of lower wait times during the Party, we were able to experience each of those attractions again.

Remember, you can only initially book three FastPass+ experiences in a single Theme Park on a given day. So if you did have a Park Hopper ticket and were planning to visit another Theme Park earlier on your Special Event day, you would not be able to have FastPasses in both Parks. After using your initial three FastPasses, though, you can book more one at a time (depending on availability).

Hopefully this answers your question, Christopher. Please don’t hesitate to come back and let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
