    Kathryn from CA Asked

Hello MP! Trying to estimate how much time I should plan between arriving at MCO and getting to our hotel. How long does the Express usually take to get to the resorts? How often does it leave MCO?

    Welcome back, Kathryn!

Using Disney's Magical Express to travel from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Walt Disney World Resort allows you to sit back, relax and leave the navigating to someone else! The folks at Magical Express realize that Guests are anxious to begin their vacations and strive to get you to your Disney Resort hotel as soon as possible.

Although the motorcoach ride is only about 30 minutes, there are a few things you must factor into your travel time. Time of day can impact your travel. If you arrive during rush hour, then it is possible that your motorcoach ride is a little longer than someone coming earlier in the day. Motorcoaches are constantly coming and going. Sometimes you are one of the last to board and quickly on your way, while other times you are first and must wait for a few more Guests before leaving the airport.  In my experience, each motorcoach makes stops at least two Resort hotels. A few weeks ago, my hotel was the last of three stops on the Magical Express route, and I was the first to board the motorcoach at the airport. From the time I scanned my MagicBand at the arrival desk until I arrived at my Resort hotel was a little more than 90 minutes. I generally allow at least two hours (more if traveling during a busy season) from the time I land until I get to my resort room, so I am sure to account for any delays or unexpected Orlando traffic.

I hope this helps with your planning, Kathryn! Please visit us again soon with additional questions you may have!
