Test Track at Epcot

I get motion sick very easy. Would I be able to ride Soarin or should I skip it?

Hi Rachel! I see from another question you shared that you will be celebrating your Honeymoon while at Walt Disney World Resort! Congratulations! We want the butterflies you feel in your tummy to be from marrying the love of your life, not from an attraction.

I get super woozy with very little motion. They key I have found is to close my eyes. This has helped me on numerous attractions. When I'm on Soarin' Around the World, I close my eyes when we are "taking off." Typically after that point, I'm OK. If I start to feel motion sickness even remotely coming on, I close my eyes again. My hubby and kiddos used to worry about me constantly when they saw my eyes closed. They now know I close my eyes so I can enjoy being on the attraction with them. I may not see everything, but there are so many other senses that are awakened. Just being able to experience the "ooohhhs" and "aaahhhs" with them is magical.

I'm going to list a few other Epcot attractions just to give you my "woozy scale." Mission: SPACE: I'm a No Go for the Orange Mission but semi OK on the Green Mission if I close my eyes. I did sit down for a few minutes after the mission ended during our last vacation. This was perfect because it gave my family time to enjoy the Advanced Training Lab. Test Track is the same way. O Canada! and Reflections of China both feature a few moments where I'm a bit unsteady. I close my eyes, put my head down, and then look up when I'm comfortable. There are also a few moments on the clamobile during The Seas with Nemo & Friends that I have to close my eyes.

I hope this helps you with your planning. If you have questions about any of the attractions at the other theme parks, please let me know. Have a magical day!
