My mother and I will be eating lunch at Be Our Guest and we would like to place our orders online ahead of time to avoid the wait. She is diabetic and has to watch sugar and sodium intake. Is it possible to request substitutions for healthier options?

Hi, Melissa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Be Our Guest Restaurant is so beautiful that I always plan at least one meal here during my Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Despite not being diabetic, I do follow a low-sugar/low-carbohydrate diet and have found it pretty easy to navigate through most Table Service restaurants, however, I have found that some Quick Service restaurants can be a bit trickier, though not impossible. Because breakfast and lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant are considered Quick Service meals, it can be more difficult to order a special meal. I took a look at the online menu, and it seems as though there are a few options that might meet her dietary requirements. For example, at lunch, I would probably order the Tuna Niçoise Salad and for breakfast, I would order the Scrambled Egg Whites.

Might I suggest contacting Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days prior to your arrival to discuss your mother’s special dietary needs? They will be able to give you more information about substitutions but keep in mind that they cannot guarantee to meet all dietary requests.

I hope this helps you plan your delicious meals! Bon appetit!
