My mother, who is an annual pass holder, has offered to buy us tickets to Oogie Boogie Halloween party in October. She will not be traveling with us. Are we allowed to do this?

    Boo to you, Carrie!

Coming to the Disneyland Resort this Fall, Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party comes to Disney California Adventure park. My family is so excited for this new party, which includes new activities and entertainment exclusive to this separately-ticketed Special Event. We can’t wait to dress up in our costumes and play along with our favorite Disney characters this Fall!

That’s very kind of your mother to offer tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party. Neither the terms and conditions of ticket purchases for this Special Event nor Disneyland Resort park rules require that the purchaser accompany the ticket holders. There is at least one item to consider. In the rare event of an issue with receiving the email of the Disney eTickets, it may be necessary for the purchaser to be present with photo ID and the original form of payment at the Disneyland Resort ticket booths to have tickets issued. Should this be a concern for you, my suggestion is for your mother to gift a Disney Gift Card rather than tickets. Since the purchaser of Oogie Boogie Bash tickets can be anyone, whether or not they are an Annual Passholder, this option provides the greatest flexibility and peace of mind for everyone. I happened to use Disney Gift Cards to purchase our family’s party tickets. I like that I can find these useful cards at a discount at retailers and wholesalers near me or online. So even for party dates that don’t happen to offer Annual Passholder discounts, I can save money on our tickets.

I am looking forward to the time when happy haunts materialize at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is one of my favorite times to visit. I love enjoying the Fall- and Halloween-themed decorations throughout the resort. Fiendish fun is found on the spooky transformations of select attractions like Haunted Mansion Holiday and Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween. And I scream with ghoulish delight at the chance to savor seasonal treats.

    Have a spooktacular time, Carrie!
