Hi, Mona Leigh! We are staying at the Caribbean Beach resort. What's the best strategy for maximizing our time at the parks- mostly in terms of fast passes, extra magic hours, etc? Also, does the monorail service all Disney resorts? Thanks!

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! By planning ahead, you will really be able to get the most out of your Walt Disney World vacation.

Since you are staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you will be able to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours. These allow Walt Disney World resort guests extra time in select theme parks before and after the regular hours on select days. By looking at the Disney theme park hours schedule, you can set the calendar to the days you will visit and see which parks have Extra Magic Hours on each day. Extra Magic Hours can allow you to have extra time in the theme parks with less guests, but I suggest that if you are arriving for morning Extra Magic Hours, try to arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of the opening time for the Extra Magic Hours. This is a good strategy for any arrival - arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled opening of the theme park. You will be surprised how much you can get done in that first hour or two before the rest of the crowds wake up!

In terms of Disney's FastPass+ selections, I suggest that you make all three that you are allotted as early as you can each morning, and make them for very popular attractions. Once you have finished those three, you can head to a FastPass+ kiosk in the theme park to make more FastPass+ selections.

The monorail connects Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Transportation and Ticket Center, Magic Kingdom, and Epcot. But do not worry! All Walt Disney World resort hotels offer complimentary transportation to the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. From Caribbean Beach Resort, your transportation will be by bus.

Please let us know if you have any further questions, Jason!
