Hi Mona Leigh, My family went to the Magic Kingdom for the first time last year and we loved it. I have two boys that are 6 and 9. We are planning another trip down to Florida. Do you think it's better to go back to Magic Kingdom or try another park?

    Hi Reka,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  This is a tricky one!

Since you mentioned that your family enjoyed Magic Kingdom, you could head back there.  There are so many attractions, restaurants, and shows at Magic Kingdom that there will certainly be something to do that you did not get a chance to try last year.  For example, did your boys play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom?  In this interactive adventure, they will get to move around the Magic Kingdom trying to defeat villains.  Also, there is a new afternoon parade at Magic Kingdom, Festival of Fantasy.  It looks amazing, with new gorgeous floats.

That said, depending on your family, they may really enjoy another Walt Disney World theme park.  If your family is interested in seeing exotic animals, then head to Disney's Animal Kingdom, where you can ride Kilimanjaro Safaris and potentially see lions, giraffes, and zebras.  If your family would enjoy experiencing many cultures in one afternoon, a stroll through Epcot's World Showcase might be in order.  If your family likes the magic of movies and is looking for slightly more thrilling rides, head on over to Disney's Hollywood Studios for a ride on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

I just do not think you can make a wrong decision here.  I would lean toward returning to Magic Kingdom, since you know that your family is happy there, and there is always something new to experience.  Possibly going to another theme park could be added at a time when you had time to visit more than one theme park - Magic Kingdom plus another.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Reka!  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
