Hi Moms, We are taking a family trip to WDW in September with our children and their families. Can we add the meal plan at the time we arrive? How do get the free plan? Do they it in late September? Thank you (first time gramma at WDW)

Hi, Stacy! May your trip be the first of many, gramma! I'm so glad that you asked this question before your vacation, so that you won't be disappointed!  You can add the Disney Dining Plan to your package, but this must be done at least three days in advance of your arrival date.  You cannot add a Disney Dining Plan option upon arrival.  The fall promotions have not been announced yet. When (or if) promotions are released, you can modify your reservation, subject to availability.  Disney will not automatically modify your reservation, you will need to call 407-W-DISNEY to check availability and make the change, if possible. There will not be a fee to update the same reservation with the promotion.  If it's a free dining promotion, you will be reimbursed for the dining plan if you have already paid for it, or if you haven't already purchased it, you could add it at no charge at that time. You will need to keep an eye on the Special Offers page for a promotion that might work for you, your travel dates, and your accommodations. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
