Hi moms(and dads!) My hubs and I are thinking about annual passes but I'm not sure of the value at this point...If we visit DW more than once in a year that is where the value comes into play, right? What other benefits are there to becoming an "AP-H&

    Hi, Katie!

I am an Annual Pass Holder and really enjoy having it.  I like the flexibility to pop into a park without worrying about using up a day of tickets.  If I want to just go to Epcot for dinner, that's what I do without thinking about the tickets.

If you are planning  2 vacations to Walt Disney World within a 12 month period, I think it is worth it.   Just based on price it is worthwhile:  While prices change, look at this scenario....

Annual Pass (all 4 parks with park hopping):  around $600
2 visits with 6 day park hoppers:  around $700
    (prices subject to change)

In addition, you get benefits such as discounts at certain restaurants, discounts on merchandise (always show your pass at shops!), free parking at theme parks if staying off property, and even occasional room discounts.   I have been very surprised how much the discounts really add up.  I even got a discount when renting bikes with my son.  Every dollar adds up!

When you purchase an Annual Pass, you can add on a "Tables in Wonderland" card for $100 which gives you a 20% discount at select table service restaurants.  My family likes to eat at a lot of the restaurants so this really paid itself off very quickly.

Think about how/when you plan to visit Walt Disney World and just do the math on it to see if it makes sense to have an Annual Pass.  If you have any other questions about having one, let me know!
