Mom and I will be in the same hotel room, both on the disney deluxe dining plan. Could could I use 2 credits from my plan if i wanted to order room service, or would both of us have to order room service? What would the 2 credits buy me (appetizer etc.)?

    Hi Melanie,

Sounds like you and your mother will be having some amazing Disney fun soon!

Using the Disney Dining Plan will be less complicated than you imagine.  Since you and your mother are in the same hotel room, all of your collective dining credits will be in the same communal account.  None of them are tagged as "yours" or "hers."  No one but you will be keeping track of who used which credits.  When you hand a Disney Cast Member your Key to the World Card (room key) to pay for a meal, they will simply subtract it from the account attached to the room in which you'll be staying.

You may order just one room service meal, if you like.  Both of you are not required to order meals at the same time.  See?  I told you using the Disney Dining Plan was easier and more flexible than you thought it would be.

There is some variability from resort to resort in terms of what dining plan credits will get you through room service so just pick up your resort room phone and touch the button for "in room dining" and the Cast Members there will be happy to explain what will be covered when cashing in dining plan credits.

Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
