    Hello Paula!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week!

The Disneyland Resort Disability Access Service would be perfect for your family. While some rides have wheelchair access that doesn’t require the Disability Access Service, newer attractions have built wheelchair access into the queues, so it would be helpful to have that option if needed. I would go to Guest Relations in either park upon your arrival and talk to the Cast Members about what would help your family best. They do have devices for Guests with hearing loss as well that may benefit your 16 year old. They’ve always been super helpful!

I’ve found, in our family, even when we are using a wheelchair, or stroller as a wheelchair as my son is still small enough to fit in one, we will go ahead and grab a FASTPASS for certain attractions that we don’t want to miss. It just helps give the option of using either that or the Disability Access Service, depending on which would be easier.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need anything else as you plan your visit.

    See you real soon!
