My mom and dad are taking us to WDW July 2012 and we want to repay them somehow. Is there anyway to have Mickey and Minnie surprise them somewhere to take pictures and hang out? We want to give them a surprise they will never forever. :)

    Hi there, Laura!

What a lovely idea! It's wonderful that you want to create your own special memories for your parents, even as they are giving you this incredible gift.

While it is possible to hire a Disney character or characters, this is usually done as part of a party or wedding package. If that's the route you want to take, you'll want to call 407-WDW-BDAY to discuss the possibilities of making that kind of celebration arrangement. Of course, you can always bring your folks to one of the many character greetings around the Parks, where Disney PhotoPass photographers will take any number of pictures to commemorate the occasion.

Consider taking them on the wonderful Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. You'll have breathtaking seating for Wishes and the Electric Water Pageant, a hysterical Pirate host, delicious refreshments, and some surprise character interactions along the way. Call (407) WDW-PLAY to book this one; as with dining reservations, you may reserve a spot on a Specialty Cruise 180 days before your arrival.

Or let the Disney Dream Makers from the Disney Florist create an in-room surprise for your parents that will just dazzle and amaze. They've got a variety of available packages to peruse, and they're always willing to work with their Guests to make just the right personal magic. Give them a call at (407) WDW-GIFT.

Have a wonderful time - and enjoy your mom and dad!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
