Mom, dad & 2 daughters: getting to an age where we need 2 bathrooms. Would you pick a room with 2 bathrooms (i.e. Polynesian) or 2 adjoining rooms? We’re looking into bottom line lowest out of pocket option but it’s a lot to sort thru.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rachel! I'm so glad you're hEAR to talk about Disney Resort Hotels

One of the reasons that I find myself returning to the Walt Disney Resort year after year is that as my family grows and changes, there are options to fit our current stage of life. And as you mentioned, sometimes you find yourself in need of two bathrooms!

My first suggestion would be to check out the Family Suites at Disney's All Star Music Resort. With two full bathrooms and extra space, this option would be the easiest on your budget while giving you plenty of room for everyone to get ready in the morning!

If you are interested in the Family Suites, but are hoping for a little more convenience... say, Disney Skyliner style, check out Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Here you will find highly themed suites, again with two full bathrooms and the largest pool on Walt Disney World Resort property. We stayed in a Cars Family Suite a few years ago and were in awe. Traveling with my father-in-law, we wanted two bathrooms like you and loved this option!

Finally, you mentioned Disney's Polynesian Village Resort... while this is one of the most beautiful Disney Resort Hotels, it's important to know that the bathroom configuration is not quite two full bathrooms. In the Deluxe Studios at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, you'll find a "split bathroom" meaning that one room contains a shower and a sink, while the other contains a toilet, bathtub and sink. Depending upon your priorities, this may or may not be a good fit.

Rachel, as you are looking ahead to 2021, I hope this helps make your resort selection a little easier. Please come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have!

Best wishes for a Magical vacation,

    Lauren
