Hello. My mom and I want to check in on a Tuesday and share a room. When my husband arrives on Friday, my mom will keep her room, and I want to check in to the second room with my husband. How is the best way to make that reservation? TIA!

    Hi Julie,

How exciting to know you are planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. I hope it is coming up soon, but in the meantime let me help you with your question.

Sounds like you are looking to make a split reservation with a twist, and you have a couple of options. First, your mom should be the one making the first reservation, since she will be staying after you move to the new one. I would then suggest your husband be the one that makes the second reservation.

Now, you need to decide between a room-only reservation and a Magic Your Way Vacation Package. The former one would be a no-issue as you can purchase Theme Park Tickets based on your needs. However, a Package that includes Tickets and/or a Disney Dining Plan will be for all Guests in the reservation and for the entire stay. If you make the second one a package, you could request the Tickets up to three days earlier by visiting Guest Relations. My suggestion is to speak to a Vacation Planning Specialist at (407) 939-1936 or a travel agent that specializes in Disney vacations.

One last tip: the best way to bring home all the memories captured in photos and videos is with Memory Maker. Happy planning!

    Ricardo.
