I am a mom of 3 ages 11, 6, and 2. I am completely overwhelmed with choices. I have never been to DW myself and am worried. Advice? Also, does DW have fireworks regularly?

Hi Crystal! With so many things to do and see at Walt Disney World, I can understand why you are feeling overwhelmed. Please don't be worried, we here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel are here to help. I have a couple of suggestions to help you plan your vacation.

*Order a complimentary Disney Vacation Planning DVD. The DVD gives you a tour of the four theme parks as well a tour of over 20 of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. It is a great resource full of information-and it's free!

*Have a 'planning party' at your house. Kids love getting to help decide where to eat or what to do. Set aside some time to browse the Walt Disney World vacation planning website and make a list of attractions, restaurants, etc. that you are interested in experiencing.

*Make a My Disney Experience account and download the app on your smartphone. The app is a portable gateway to everything Walt Disney World. It has park maps, park hours and even wait times of all of the attractions.

*Make sure to pay attention to what I call 'landmark dates'. On-site Walt Disney World guests can make Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days in advance of their stay. They can also make FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance.

There are nightly fireworks shows at The Magic Kingdom (Wishes nighttime spectacular), Disney's Hollywood Studios (Fantasmic!), and Epcot (IllumiNations : Reflections of Earth). They are subject to change and will cancel depending on inclement weather.

I hope this helps, and if you have any specific questions, please feel free to stop by and ask.

We love all things Disney and when we aren’t watching Disney films or planning our next vacation, we love to go to touring Disney shows. I also love to cook, listen to music, read books, and paint. With my experience planning vacations and navigating the parks from a single parent’s perspective, I hope to be able to add a little “pixie dust” to your vacation! Learn More About Sarah
