My Mom & I (adults) have 9nts booked at Roy Stand. POR. It's meant to be a relaxing vacation w/ days off parks this time & 1st time in a moderate. Do you think spending the extra for royal is worth it? is this silly for adults? Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth, I love that you and your mom are going to Walt Disney World for some bonding time. Sounds like so much fun! I would never judge ladies of a certain age who want to get their princess on. I've been to many a character meal on my own, just to get a hug from Mickey. So if a Royal Room would make you feel like a queen, then by all means go for it. That being said, I will tell you that the main features of the Royal Rooms are in the decor. For example, the sink faucets are shaped like Aladdin"s lamp and the headboards have some special features. There's some "wow" at the beginning, but my guess is that this would wear off somewhat quickly. The thing you have to consider is whether the extra money for the Royal Room would have a more fun/relaxing effect if you spent it elsewhere. Would a massage or other spa treatment be the perfect pampering? Would a dinner at Victoria & Albert's make you feel like a star? Only you can decide which option would be more meaningful to you. Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if we can provide additional assistance.
