Hi! Which of the moderates has the best (less stops be4 heading to parks) transportation. Looking for a great pool & easy access to dining. We have stayed at the Boardwalk,Y & B Club & WL so they spoiled us. Moderate fits budget this year

    Hi Rebecca,

I would suggest Coronado Springs. It has deluxe amenities (queen beds, a spa, nightclub, sit-down restaurant, etc. ) with an awesome pool with a long slide at The Dig Site outdoor complex. The Dig Site also has a large playground, volleyball court and more! The Pepper Market Food Court serves delicious food and the nearby Cafe Rix has great take-out options too. While you may have an internal stop (or two) on the bus headed to the WDW parks, the buses always seem less busy here. Probably because it's a conference center resort and thus many of the guests are headed to business meetings rather than the parks.

Port Orleans French Quarter is a charming resort. It has lovely meandering paths and newly renovated rooms complete with queen beds. The pool area is nice although the slide is only geared towards small children. There's only one bus stop out front of the resort which isn't a far walk from any of the buildings. And the Sassagoula Riverboat transportation to Downtown Disney is a fun way to travel!

The Caribbean Beach Resort is as large as Coronado but the rooms only have double beds. What it has going for it is fun pirate theme rooms, a nice pool and great pirate ship water play area, a fun food court, sandy beaches, and the largest rooms in the moderate category.

I would avoid Port Orleans Riverside until room renovations are completed in late 2012. For now, you are likely to get a room with double beds. They are renovating and adding two queens. Of course, the royal themed rooms are going to add a bit of magic to this beautiful resort.

While the cabins at Fort Wilderness are considered a moderate WDW resort, the transportation can be time-consuming unless you rent a car.

Take a look at pictures of Coronado. I think you'll find it has the deluxe resort feel that you are looking for all wrapped in a moderate price!
