How much was the MNSSHP in 2010? I need to know about how much to budget for my family. Do older kids(18&17) enjoy going? Or should we just stick with our 3 year old? And let the older ones go back to the hotel to have fun in the pool?

    Hi Bobbi Jo!!!

We absolutely love Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!!!  My wife and I actually went before we had our son and loved the party as adults!!  We have also taken our son and loved going with a little one!!!

Last year the advance purchase price for the party ranged from $57.46 to $60.66 for an adult (age 10 and up) and $51.07 to $55.33 for a child (age 3-9.)  The price varies based on the time you go.  The month of September is usually less expensive than the October dates.  The price is slightly higher if there are tickets still available and you purchase them the same day as the party.  Often times, the party does sell out, so I would highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance if possible.

It is honestly a toss up with your 17 and 18 year old children.  I have gone as an adult and loved it.  My wife and I still trick or treated when it was just us.  We enjoyed the special fireworks and parade.  It is an excellent time to ride the various Magic Kingdom attractions.  If any of that appeals to your two kids, then I would definitely recommend they go and have a wonderful time!  If not, I think letting them stay at the hotel and relax/swim would work as well.  I would just gauge their interest based on how I said I enjoyed it at an older age and go from there!!!

Please let me know if you have any additional questions that I can help with!!!

    Have a magical day!!
