Will be in MK on 1/6/13. Any idea if the icicle lights will still be lit on Cinderella Castle?

    Hi Nicole!

January is a great time to visit the Walt Disney World theme parks.  There are less crowds to contend with, and the weather is generally cool, with highs in the low to mid 60's.  Definitely not summer weather, but it beats the sweltering summer.

Traditionally, Disney begins removing the Christmas decorations during the first week of January, traditionally right after the 2nd of January, and the process is accomplished quite quickly and stealthily, I might add. By the end of that week, the decor at the parks and the resorts will be more subdued. You might catch the icicle lights still on Cinderella Castle on January 6th, but there is no guarantee they will be up then.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
