Family dining outside

We are military so we are waiting until the 2020 discounts (hopefully) get renewed to book. I know they historically come out in September. However our trip is in January, 180 days starts in July. Can I book ADRs without tickets or a hotel reservation?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ashlee!

You sound just like me because I'm definitely a planner and I love to get all of my plans solidified as soon as I can. The sooner I'm able to get my advanced dining reservations settled, the sooner I can move on to planning our FastPass+ selections and bringing our vacation plans to life!

I'm pleased to tell you that you are able to make your advanced dining reservations 180 days in advance even if you don't have any tickets yet, but if you usually have your Resort Hotel booked by the time your dining reservation window opens up, the process might work a little differently than you're used to. You'll know from experience that when you're a guest at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you get the benefit of being able to book dining for the first 10 days of your vacation up to 180 days before your arrival date. If you're staying off-site or haven't booked your Resort Hotel stay yet, you won't be able to book for your whole vacation at once and will need to book each day individually. For example, you are able to make reservations for January 21, 2020, at 6 a.m. Eastern Time on July 25 of this year. On the next day, you'll be able to book for January 22, and the next day for January 23, and so on. Make sure to download the My Disney Experience app so you can make your reservations and keep track of all of your magical plans!

I hope this answers your question, Ashlee, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your trip.
