We just got our MB. Can we go strait to the parks or do we have to check in at the hotel first to get them activated?

    Hi Tonya ~

Your trip is just around the corner and I bet you are too excited to sleep!

If you have linked your theme park tickets to your My Disney Experience account and active MagicBands, you can head straight to the parks without going to your resort first. Think of it as having your tickets in hand (or wrist in this case) and you are good to go.

When we arrived in Orlando for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler in October, we had our MagicBands in hand. We were so excited to get started with the action that we by-passed our resort and went straight to Disney's Animal Kingdom for a couple of treks on Expedition Everest. Once we had done everything we wanted to do, we then went to our resort to check in.

I'll admit that the first time I did this back in February, I was a little nervous about heading to a park first but everything went very smooth. We had made our Disney FastPass+ service selections in advance and that helped us cover a lot of ground in a short time.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. We will be hEAR for you up until you embark on your pixie dusted trail!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
