This may be a tough one. Planning a large family trip. Will require two 2-br villas at AKL. I am a DVC member traveling on points & I want to know what the difference is between the "Value" and "Standard". Can't find answer under &q

    Hi Allison,

This was a tough one and it required a call to the Disney Vacation Club to confirm my thoughts.

At Animal Kingdom Villas, they do have four types of rooms: Value, Standard, Savanna and Kilimanjaro Club Concierge. At most resorts, the location or the view of the room is what separates the difference.

However at Animal Kingdom Villas, it is the size. The only difference between Value and Standard is that the Value Accommodation is smaller and will only sleep the smaller number of guests listed in each room. So where a one bedroom can accommodate 4 or 5 guests, the Value will sleep 4 and the others will sleep 5 because of the additional convertible sleeper chair.

When booking your double two bedrooms, you can book the Value if eight or less people will be sleeping in each room. You might bump up to the Standard if siblings do not want to share a bed.

Since we are rarely in the room, view is really not a big preference to me and it allows me to save points so I can pack in an extra trip in the year!

I hope this helps and have a magical vacation!
