    N from CA Asked

How may I plan a Disney family vacation a few years in advance and make payments for park tickets and hotel?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, N. Thanks for bringing us your question about booking a Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

N, did you know that you can make Disney Resort hotel room reservations 499 days before your planned visit? That’s definitely something to look forward to!

If you and your family do decide to make your Room-Only reservation with that much anticipation, that gives you plenty of time to make a plan to pay for your trip. While you will still be asked for a credit card to hold your reservation, there are no formal payment plans. You are able to make payments as small as $20 at a time toward your stay, at your convenience. Just make sure to pay off your balance 45 days before your trip.

You can make your Room-Only Reservation by speaking to a Resort Reservation Specialist at (407) 939-1936.
I suggest waiting until you’re about six-months away from your vacation to purchase theme park tickets.

You will also want to keep an eye out for Special Offers that may be available during the dates of your stay. Many times, discounted rates at Disney Resort hotels are offered, and free dining packages have also been available in the past. Mickey has different promotions all the time!

N, you may also want to make a note for yourself about advance dining reservations. Did you know that you can start making dining reservations 180 days before your magical visit?

I hope this information is helpful to you! Please feel free to visit us again with any other planning questions you may have! Helping you plan your magical stay is our favorite thing to do!
