We are going in May for 5 nights. This is our first trip with two 8 yr old boys. Where do you recommend to dine? Is the Fantasmic Show or Hoop de do revue? If Fantasmic what restaurant? We are not doing character dining. Boys are not that into. Thanks.

    Hi Jenny!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

I am sure your boys would enjoy Fantasmic!, and I would recommend you book a Fantasmic! Dining Experience.  This is held at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  You make advance dining reservations at one of three restaurants inside the park: The Hollywood Brown Derby (lunch or dinner),
Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano (lunch or dinner), or Hollywood & Vine (dinner packages only).  (None of these restaurants offer character dining for any meal, with the exception of Hollywood & Vine for breakfast and lunch only).   When you arrive for your dining reservation you will be handed vouchers for VIP seating at Fantasmic! later that evening.  You will then need to arrive at the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater 30-45 minutes before the start of the show, and will be shown to your preferred seating.  If you choose to go and see Fantasmic! without a dinner package, it is recommended you begin standing in line up to 90 minutes before the show starts.

This special event can be reserved online or by calling (407) 939 3463, up to 180 days ahead of time.  It is recommended that you make your booking early as both events are very popular.  When booking the Fantasmic! dining package, ensure you state that it is the package you require, not just the restaurant reservation.

If you have any other questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
