Hello, in May my family and I are gonna be on our first cruise with Disney. How many bags per person can we bring? Also my father is handicap and wanted to know when is check in time so we can pre plan for him? With that as well what are some tips for him

    Ahoy Jill!
Congratulations on your first cruise on Disney Cruise Line! I'm so fortunate my family has been able to experience the magic of Disney at sea because we have many wonderful memories of our past cruises and look forward to creating even more on our future sailings. I wish this for your family too and am excited to hear you have planned a multi-generational vacation for your first experience.  The wonder and excitement Disney creates onboard its ships reaches Guests of all ages, and I'm sure your family will experience this too in just a few months!
When you are ready to pack your bags, each Guest is allowed to bring two pieces of luggage and a carry-on.  A few weeks before your sailing, luggage tags will be sent to you in the mail and these will need to be placed on each bag you plan to leave with the porter at the curbside drop off.  In regards to size, just consider what you would normally travel with on an airplane.
Check-in at the cruise terminal begins at 11:00am and ends around 3:30pm.  Since this is your first sailing, you will need to select a check-in time online 75 days prior to your departure.  Check-in doesn't take very long in the cruise terminal, but you will be given a boarding number from the castmember checking you in.  You may have to wait a few minutes depending on your arrival time, but I wouldn't think longer than about 30.
Most areas of the ship are handicapped accessible so your father won't have any trouble maneuvering around the vessel.  Special viewing areas are available so be sure to speak with crew members about these locations when arriving at the various onboard activities and events.  If your cruise sails to Castaway Cay, special sand wheelchairs are provided free of charge next to the Scuttle's Cove Tram Stop.
I'm about out of room, Jill so please follow up if you have any more questions about your first magical voyage.  I'm always happy to help!
