    Rebecca from GA Asked

This may have been asked before, but I can't find it. I'm looking for an alternative to pin trading and autographs for my boys. I want something they will be excited to do while at WDW, but is something that will be different. Ideas?

Hi, Rebecca! Adventure? Excitement? A Jedi craves not these things. But young boys do, and your boys will be thrilled that you're baking it into their experience.

I know where you're coming from too. My boys have pins but aren't really into trading them. Autographs? Meh. I collect Vinylmations, but that's really more "daddy's thing."

There is something we all love doing together, and it's my suggestion for you and your boys: look for Hidden Mickeys around Walt Disney World. It's a very scalable activity based on your time and interest - you can be as hardcore in the hunt for Hidden Mickeys or as casual and fun and fancy free as you care to be. You don't need to commit any time or money on the front end other than acquiring the book Hidden MIckeys Guide for Walt Disney World (or the iPhone/iPod app) by Steve Barrett.

If you really get into it, you can factor in points for finding Hidden Mickeys (as detailed in the book.) It's a great way to help them take in and appreciate the little details that make Walt Disney World so special. It's also a great way to go toe-to-toe with your family and show them who's boss. Kidding! Sort of.
