Hi Marc! I wanted to find out if there's a single mom's inexpensive guide to a Disney vacation :) I thought I'd check with you to see if you had any helpful advice as to how to do this trip in a budget-friendly manner.

    Hi Beth!

Thanks for asking me a question! It is totally possible to have a vacation in Walt Disney World on a tight budget! I am a single parent and I have been going to Walt Disney World with my son since 2007. We have had such an incredible time together on all of our trips and we also were able to do it economically. Here is what I would suggest based on my experience:
    1. Stay at a Value Resort during the Value Season (we normally go at the end of August or early September) Pop Century or the All Star Resorts (Sports, Movies, or Music). If your family is bigger, then you may want to consider staying at the Family Suites at the Art of Animation Resort (can sleep up to 6 people with two bathrooms)
    2. Bring or purchase breakfast food to eat in your room before heading to the Parks
    3. Use the Magical Express Service--this is free transportation to and from the Orlando Airport
    4. Use the free transportation at Walt Disney World--You do not have to rent a car and you can travel anywhere in Walt Disney World.
    5. Buy Park Tickets with your Package--Only buy enough Park Tickets for your full days during your vacation. On your arrival and departure day find other things to do that do not require using a one day's Park Ticket

I have not heard of a book about a single Mom's inexpensive guide to a Disney vacation, but that is what we Moms and Dads are here for!  There are several other Single Parents on the Moms Panel so please keep asking us Moms and Dads your questions as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation!

I hope that you and your family make some magical lifetime memories together on your future Walt Disney World vacation!
    Keep Dreaming Big!
