We will be making our 8th vacation to Disney World in September with my daughter who will be 14 and son who will be 10. We will be staying at POR for 9 days. I'm looking for some new ideas of how to make this trip extra magical for them.

    Hello Teresa,

Thanks for stopping by to get some new and exciting tips for keeping your trip magical for you and your family, seasoned Walt Disney World travelers. There are always new experiences or things to discover. Here are a few of my suggestions.

Try a tour such as Epcot Seas Aqua Tour or Behind the Seeds Tour for a little behind the scenes look at these areas of Epcot. These could be educational, as well as giving you a different view of someplace you have seen many times before. For more information or to book a tour, call (407) WDW-TOUR (939-8687).

With all of the many restaurants available in the parks as well as the resorts and Downtown Disney, have each person pick their favorite restaurant or maybe even a new dining location to try. Since you are able to look at a sample menu on the official Walt Disney World site for each restaurant, this is a great resource to plan and decide. Some of my personal favorites are Biergarten in Epcot, Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant in Downtown Disney.

If you are looking for something thrilling and excitement filled, be sure to check out Characters in Flight, operated by Aerophile, in Downtown Disney. Another fun place to consider is Sammy Duvall's Watersports Centre where you can do parasailing, water tubing, or rent personal watercraft.

In addition to the things mentioned above, there are some new attractions and parade that you might not have seen yet, as these have opened or are due to open within the last year or so. New Fantasyland recently opened and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is due to open May 28, 2014. This new coaster where you ride in a mine cart that swings is sure to be an amazing ride. The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is a phenomenal daytime parade at Magic Kingdom that debuted this spring. Be sure to check those out.

    Have a fantastic time!
