Making 13th trip during ESPN event. What are crowds like? Is EPCOT only park for the flower festival event?

    Hi Mary,

You've picked an exciting time for your 13th visit with a lot of cool things going on.

ESPN The Weekend is being held March 3 - 6, 2011 at Disney's Hollywood Studios (DHS).  Its jammed packed with appearances of some incredible athletes, special events & the ESPN Interactive Sports Zone. Typically, it is pretty crowded but if you go early & plan it right, you can have an awesome time. Click here for the event guide & here for the DHS calendar showing daily park hours.

The events for the International Flower & Garden Festival are only held at Epcot. It is just beautiful with all the special topiaries they do just for this event. For the HGTV Designer Celebrity Presentation schedule, click here. For the Flower Power Concert Series schedule, click here.  The crowds levels have been pretty reasonable the times I've visited. If there is a concert that you want to see, I recommend getting to the American Gardens Theater early to get a good spot in line.

Weekend days tend to be a little more crowded for both of these event because a lot of local residents come out to enjoy the festivities.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
