We are making our first, and possibly only Disney trip this January 17-21st. We have two boys ages 7 and 5. Is it worth the money to buy the Hopper Pass? Also, what is your take on the Disney Dining Plan. Is it a good value?

If your family is anything like mine, Jennifer, I'm sure this first trip won't be your last.  Still, you want to make it as memorable as possible, right?  I don't blame you.  To that end, you want to make sure that you stay within your budget so as not to stress out about the trip.  Adding the park hopping option to your park tickets is a great perk, if you can afford it.  If it means cutting out fun dining experiences or little extras, you may opt to skip it.  A great time can be had in the parks without the park hopper option.  If it were my decision, I would only splurge on it if there was plenty of room in the budget.  The dining plan, on the other hand, is a great way to save money.  Take a look at the options for the particular plan you're interested in.  If you think that your family will indeed eat fairly close to what you're entitled to on the plan, then opting to make use of one of Disney's dining plans is a great value.  If you don't think you'd eat a dessert or order a drink at every meal, then you may be better off going without it.  It really depends on what you'd pay out of pocket if you didn't have the dining plan.  Personally, I think it represents a great option for families looking to enjoy Disney's restaurants while still saving money.  I hope that helps, Jennifer!
