I am making FastPass reservations; how long should I leave between each booking?

    Hi Lorna!

Good planning is so important for a successful and stress free Walt Disney World vacation. It certainly sounds like you are considering every detail as you plan away.

Booking Fastpasses is an important part of the planning. Each FastPass you reserve will be good for an hour. During that hour you will not be able to use any other Fastpasses.

There are several thoughts about booking fastpasses. Many moms like to keep the Fastpasses for the afternoon hours when the crowds are larger and the lines are longer. If you only wish to do the FastPass attractions then you can start booking them as early as you plan on arriving at the park. If you had thought of spending the day in the park to experience everything then keep them for the afternoon.

Since each is in the hour block we book them back to back without extra time in between. If you have one at 9am it is good until 10am and then your 10:05 one is good until 11:05. So we would hit the attraction right away at 9am and that leaves us until around 11am to experience the next one. We often can squeeze something in between the two fastpasses that way.

Be careful when booking a show using a FastPass as those are only done at certain times so you don't have the freedom to return for an hour. The other consideration is if you want to get a dining reservation. Leave another hour block between Fastpasses for a lunch stop so you won't feel rushed or stressed about getting back to an attraction in time.

Timing for Fastpasses is really a personal thing...hit them 1-2-3 or drag them out over the day. There is no right or wrong way to do it. Just remember that once you have used your three Fastpasses you are able to book more for that day so if that is important you will want them done in the morning.
