I am making dining reservations for an upcoming trip and was hoping to find out what kind of foods were on the buffet at The Crystal Palace. My adult autistic son prefers kid friendly food like mac & cheese, chicken strips, & burgers.

Hi, Donna!  Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

One of the things that I love most about dining at the Walt Disney World Resort is that there truly is something to appeal to everyone.  My son also has autism and is a picky eater.  Even though he is past the age limit for the kids' menu at Walt Disney World restaurants, we have found that the Cast Members will always work with us to make sure he has something he likes to eat.

Buffet-style restaurants like The Crystal Palace are a great option for my family.  With the wide variety of food served, there is sure to be something that everyone in our party likes.  We also have the option to sample some new foods if we wish.  The buffet at The Crystal Palace has a kid-friendly section that all guests are welcome to select food from.  Menu selections are always subject to change, but the last time I had dinner at The Crystal Palace, there were plenty of comfort foods such as chicken, pasta, and mac & cheese.  After visiting with Winnie the Pooh and his pals and enjoying the buffet, I don't think anyone in your family will leave feeling rumbly in their tumbly.

Since you have someone in your family with special needs, be sure to familiarize yourself with Walt Disney World Resort's Disability Services prior to your trip.  My son utilizes Disability Access Service when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort, and it has been very helpful in ensuring that he enjoys his vacation.

If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask.  Have a magical day!
