When making our dining reservations, there is a disclaimer that our party of nine will not necessarily be seated together. How likely is this to happen? Also, if we're not seated together, does the automatic gratuity still apply? I sure hope not....

I understand your concerns, Chantelle.  I hope I can offer you some reassurance.  In the past, I've made a number of dining reservations in which the disclaimer about being seated at multiple tables comes into play.  Still, in all our years of vacationing at Walt Disney World I can honestly tell you that there has only been a single time that we (our party of 10 at the time) were actually seated at different tables.  Even then, the tables were right next to each other.  I can't guarantee you will have the same experience, of course, but it might be reassuring to know that the Cast Members will make every effort to ensure your party is seated together.

As for the automatic gratuity, if your make reservations for a single party of nine you should expect to pay the automatic gratuity even if you are seated at separate tables.  I hope that helps!
