I will be making ADRs for my reservation of 8 people.Additionally, my in-laws will be at WDW (seperation reservation) and may want to join us for a meal. Will I be able to reserve a ADR for 10 under my reservation?Or do the two res have to be linked?

Hi, Heather! Yes, you can be the designated person from your travel party to make the dining reservations for your whole group (by phone or online).  As the chosen one, you will make reservations for the total number dining (in-laws included).  We do this all the time! It doesn't matter that they are on a separate reservation.  For future reference, they don't even have to be Resort Guests. For example, when we are at Walt Disney World, my Moms Panel friend, Marisol, and her family often join us for a few days.  Because they are local, they don't necessarily stay at a Resort, but I can still make Advance Dining Reservations for all of us. Also, as one who frequently travels with large groups, I can tell you that buffet restaurants usually appeal to the widest variety of Guests. Everyone can usually find something they will enjoy.  I hope you get the reservations you want.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
