What are the main differences between the value resorts? Also whats the difference between standard and preferred rooms? What would be best for someone that has a hard time walking? We've never stayed on property so I'm full of questions. Thank you

    Hi Veronica!

Welcome back and thanks for sending us another great question!  There's a lot to love about all the Value Resort Hotels - great pricing, convenient food courts, and fun theming - so you really can't go wrong with any of them.  If there isn't one theme in particular that appeals to you, then I'd say the main differences between the five options are the transportation, pools and pricing.

Transportation is a big one for my family.  While Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort each have dedicated bus service, the All-Star Resorts (Movies, Music and Sports) generally share bus service among the three.  The benefit of having your own bus is shorter travel times to and from the parks.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort easily wins the pool category.  It has three awesome pools, but it's zero-entry Big Blue Pool is simply amazing!  It's the largest pool at any Disney Resort hotel and there are even speakers underwater so you can enjoy the music while you swim.  Disney's Pop Century Resort also has three pool options, while the All-Star Resorts each offer two.

In terms of pricing, the All-Star Resorts are usually the most affordable.  Disney's Art of Animation Resort's rates are the highest, and it's also so popular that it is usually excluded from Special Offers and the Standard Rooms are often fully booked.  Those Standard Rooms are all in the same building, so there is not an option to book a Preferred Room, like at the other Value Resort Hotels.

A Preferred Room usually offers the closest proximity to shopping, dining and transportation, which also means you'll have a shorter distance to walk between your room and the hotel amenities.

I hope that helps, Veronica.  Please stop by again if we can help answer any other questions.
