I have Magicbands from 2014. Is it possible to link them to a new single day park only ticket? Going with a school group and would like to use my magic band for fast passes

Hi there, Stephanie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for reaching out and sending in your Walt Disney World Resort question!

With the number of times I’ve visited Walt Disney World Resort, I have quite the collection of MagicBands laying around from previous trips! Many of these date back to the original release of the MagicBand system, actually. Personally, I’ve never had an issue reusing my older MagicBands during more recent trips. However, MagicBands may become damaged over which could impact whether or not you are able to use your own during your trip in a couple of weeks!

If you would like to use your MagicBand, you will need to link your theme park ticket to your My Disney Experience account. You can do this either through the My Disney Experience app or webpage. You may either enter the ticket number on the app or webpage or scan the ticket barcode on the app.

Once you’ve linked your ticket to your My Disney Experience account, you will want to verify that your MagicBand is also linked and active. You may do this by clicking into the “My MagicBands and Cards” section of your My Disney Experience account. This section will list all of your active and inactive MagicBands and also allow you to add in any new MagicBands you purchase.

Have fun during your school’s trip to Walt Disney World Resort!
