is the "Magical Extras" card also a resort identification card?? This is my family's first time doing a package and we have never done anything like this.

    Hi Jen,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. As my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist Missy would say: EEEEEEEEEEEK! Your vacation is almost here! You must be getting so excited!

The Magical Extras card is just a little extra pixie dust that’s sprinkled on Guests who have booked a Walt Disney World vacation package. You’ll find it inside your MagicBand box; you should see a Navy blue card and some vouchers. Bring the card with you when you’re in the theme parks and at Disney Springs, as it provides you a discount at many different spots, including my personal favorites, Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Company and Basin. You must present the card in order to receive the discount, and the card is only valid on the dates of your package stay.

In order to use the vouchers for mini-golf and ESPN Wide World of Sports, you must have both the vouchers and your Magical Extras Card. Please look closely at the vouchers, as there are some restrictions on the time of day they can be used.

Jen, the Magical Extras card doesn’t function as a resort ID card; Your MagicBand is all you need around the resorts to identify yourself as a resort guest. Cast Members can scan your MagicBand and see everything they need to verify you’re a resort Guest, and your MagicBand will unlock your resort room door, laundry facilities, and some of the pools. It really is magic!

I hope that helps, and please come back and see us if you have any questions as you start to pack and prepare for your super-soon visit!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
