Hi Heather, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.
I absolutely love the convenience of using
Disney’s Magical Express® Transportation to and from Orlando International Airport. The departure process is just as easy as the arrival process but slightly different. The day before your departure, you will receive a transportation notice telling you when Disney’s Magical Express Motorcoach will be picking you up. Make sure you have provided any changes in your return flight information to the Cast Member during your check-in process. You will need to give this notice to the driver, when boarding the motorcoach.
I typically contact Bell Services the night before to schedule a pickup time for my luggage. If you are flying with an airline that participates in
Resort Airline Check-In and your departure is between the hours of 5:00 A.M. and 12 noon, Bell Services can assist you in delivering your luggage directly to the Cast Members who can check your bags, print your boarding passes and bag claim tickets. The following airlines participate in Resort Airline Check-in Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines (U.S. Domestic Only), JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines. You must have a valid ID and your bags must be checked three hours prior to your scheduled departure.
If you are not traveling an airline that offers this service, you will need to bring your luggage with you to the motorcoach. The driver can assist you with getting your bags on and off the motorcoach. Once you arrive at Orlando International Airport, you will need to check your bags with your airline for the return flight home.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
