How does the Magical Express work if you are flying using Southwest Airlines Buddy passes and you don't get on the flight you made reservations with?

    Hi Katy,

Buddy passes are a wonderful benefit afforded to airline employees and their families and friends. Working for an airline myself, the challenge of flying standby can be stressful but it is also a great way to travel to many different places.

When you make your Disney Magical Express reservation, list the flight you are planning on taking and tell them you are flying standby. If you make the flight, all is good. If you do not get on the flight, you have a few options. If your are on the next flight which arrives within two hours, you should be fine. Just head to the Disney Magical Express area and board the bus. If you will be later than two hours, I would call and give them a heads up that you are on a later flight and provide the new flight information. Again, this is not a big deal.

If you are arriving after 10:00 pm, you will want to skip sending your checked bags to the hotel. You can still check it, just do not use the Disney Magical Express tags and pick it up at the baggage carousel.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
